Rod Knight, Attorney

Rod has been a practising business lawyer for 4 decades.  His practice has expanded over the years so that today it encompasses not just business law, but also the related practice areas of real estate law and collections  law.

 

After graduating from University of Chicago Law School, he worked at the largest law firm in Michigan, representing public and private business clients on a range of matters, with a particular focus on corporate organization and finance and the purchase and sale of businesses.

 

His work with that law firm led to positions as General Counsel to a couple of publicly-traded companies that needed his expertise and skills in business organizations, the purchase of businesses, corporate finance, and general business law.

 

He subsequently opened his own private practice (first in Michigan, and then in Arizona since 1998), and continued to represent business clients both large and small on a broad range of matters, including the purchase and sale of businesses; real estate leases, purchases and sales and other real estate matters; corporate organization and finance; contracts and other general business law matters; and collections.

 

Rod lives in Scottsdale with his wife of more than 40 years.  When not working for his clients, Rod likes to read, hike and travel.
